EQUIPMENT USE & SIZES

Combat sports gloves vary depending on (1) your discipline (e.g., boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial marts), (2) your intended training type (e.g., bagwork, padwork, sparring), (3) your body weight, and (4) your hand size.

Our Origin training gloves are built to be protective and comfortable enough for all disciplines and training types. Our focus on durability led to the development of custom foam padding that is firm but also flexible - an ideal glove for multi-purpose training.

Although 16 oz gloves are the most common training gloves for adult men, there are many uses for other weighted gloves. For example, 12 oz gloves are quite popular when less padding or more speed is needed. Further, while many female athletes often train with 12-ounce gloves, a desire for extra padding often necessitates something heavier. As such, we launched our Origin hook-and-loop glove at 12 oz and 16 oz, and we now also offer the Origin lace-up at 10 oz for those wanting a snugger, more competition-like feel during boxing training.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

For gloves: Air out your gloves after every use, including pulling apart the hook and loop. For light cleaning, wipe the inside with a clean and dry cloth or towel and allow the gloves to air dry. After repeated use, a gentle mix of vinegar with water can be used to dab onto and wipe off the inside of your gloves. Do not use harsh chemicals.

For hand wraps: Hand wraps should minimally be taken out of gym bags and air dried after each use. For a deeper clean and after repeated use, insert a pair of your hand wraps (unrolled) into a generic garment wash bag. Machine wash cold with and without other clothes. Air dry. Do not wash with bleach, machine dry, or iron.

Please refer to the inside of each garment for care instructions. Generally speaking, to prolong the life of your garments and to avoid near-term issues with garment shrinking, deteriorating screens, or color fading, our apparel should be washed in cold water and air dried.







WARRANTY

For training gloves and pads, Tensho offers a limited warranty that covers manufacturing defects for six months after the original purchase date.


Basically, if your gloves or pads were delivered with deficiencies in materials (ripped leather, broken foam padding, significantly ripped stitching or elastic band, peeling screens), or if significant issues are noticed and unrelated to normal training wear-and-tear, we will replace your product for free or refund your purchase.


However, this does not cover any abuse or neglect you might have put your gloves or pads through. Further, the warranty does not cover water or sweat damage, normal wear-and tear, scratches, or strap damage. Please keep in mind that our gloves are made of genuine leather, and that the leather and foam padding will break in around your knuckles and soften a bit as you use. Further, you may notice mild stretching of the leather (and the branded screens) as the gloves settle around your hands after repeated use, which is normal. Note that one of the best ways to ensure the longest life of your gloves or pads is to keep them dry and air them out after every use (see care instructions above).


Also note that there may be small variances in the thickness and weight of the genuine leather materials we use during production. The variance in weight may be up to 2.5 ounces compared to each glove’s listed weight. Glove weight variances within this range will not be eligible for a warranty claim.


Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims and service requests, so please keep your order number or receipt.

Please email service@tenshogear.com with your order number, a description of the issues supporting the warranty claim, as well as any supporting pictures. We take our product quality very seriously, so any additional information you can provide to help us improve our products is much appreciated.

Yes, we align our warranty period for apparel and hand wraps to our overall return policy period, which is four months. Accepted warranty requests would involve a clear and significant deterioration of fabric related to our manufacturing materials and not to normal wear-and-tear or washing.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

We offer a four-month return window for refunds of unused and unworn product in its original packaging. Please email service@tenshogear.com with your order number and a return reason. Returns will be processed as either a refund to the original payment method or as store credit.

It takes up to five business days from receipt of product for our warehouse to process your return restocking. Further, it may take 5-7 business days for the refunded amount to appear on your payment account depending on your financial institution.

We offer free returns for merchandise over $50 that ships within the continental 48 states of the U.S., and we charge a flat fee of $5 for U.S. returns under $50. For shipments outside the continental U.S., we charge a 10% fee for returns $50+ and a flat fee of $10 for returns under $50.

We currently treat exchanges as two separate transactions (a return of original purchase, and a purchase of a new item). Refer to return policy to initiate a return request and return shipment, and please initiate the replacement item purchase directly on our site. SHIPPING & ORDERS

Orders submitted and successfully charged before 3pm PST ship by the end of the next business day. For example, an order submitted on 2pm PST Friday would be shipped out before end of day Monday.

Orders submitted after 3pm PST are likely to ship the next business day, but not guaranteed to ship until the end of the second subsequent business day.

If a holiday falls on a Monday, weekend orders will ship by the end of day Tuesday and Monday orders by end of day Wednesday.

If you need to change or cancel your order, please immediately email us at service@tenshogear.com. Once our warehouse has received your order, we will be unable to make any changes.

We currently serve the continental 48 states of the U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the United Kingdom.


For the continental U.S., we offer free standard shipping for orders over $50, and a flat $5 shipping fee for orders under $50. We offer two business day express shipping through UPS for $15.


For outside the continental U.S., we charge a flat fee of $8 for orders under $100 and a flat fee of $15 for $100+ orders.


We offer three business day express shipping to Canada and the United Kingdom for $20.

For international customers, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. The general amount for the duties and taxes varies depending on the country to which the order was shipped. You should contact your customs office for specific amounts and percentages, as well as to understand any customs policies that could be unique to your country.

Tensho cannot control and is not responsible for any duties/taxes applied to your package. You will be responsible for paying additional charges for customs clearance.
Note in rare occasions custom agents may delay delivery of some packages.

During sale periods, discounts may not be allowed for certain products, such as already marked-down products.
